Dumfries and Galloway carers centre provides information, advice and support to anyone who cares for a partner, child, relative or friend. We raise awareness of the needs of carers and the contribution they make to society. A carer is someone of any age including children and young people under 18 who provide support to a member of their family or a friend. Many carers do not have time to concentrate on their own health or wellbeing and can often experience illness, stress or injury as a result. Speaking to one of our carers support workers and accessing support services available can help. The carers centre service is provided throughout the region and we have carers support workers based in Dumfries, Wigtownshire, Stewartry, Upper Nithsdale and Annandale and Eskdale.
