DAVAWP is a multiagency organisation whose ultimate aim is to eradicate domestic abuse and other forms of gender based violence from D&G and contribute this way to the global elimiation of these types of violence. DAVAWP membership consists of representatives from - D&G Council, Alcohol and Drugs Partnership, NHS Dumfries and Galloway, Voluntary Sector - Womens aid, South West Rape Crisis and Sexual Abuse centre; Police Scotland, Scottish Prison Service, local solicitor specialising in family law; South West Justice Authority.
